I'm posting pictures from a photo shoot from a while ago. They are probably my best ones yet, the photographer made me skin look so luminous. So here are a few to show off.

So it's been a little while since I updated. I got back from NZ weeks ago and have been in school for about a month. And it's been lovely!! I love being a senior. Lots of fun projects. Just finished up the fur competition illustration. But here's some photos of the corset I made over the summer and a recent shoot of me in it.

Other than that, just been infuriated by American politics lately. And the apathy of my peers. I'm turning myself inside out trying to think of a good way to spread information and help the idiocy that seems so prevalent these days. People don't even bother TRYING to know what the hell they are talking about anymore. Anyone thinking communism, socialism and fascism are the same thing is such a complete and utter loss.

Anyway.

Junior Fashion Show

So I realized I forgot to post pictures of the fashion show! It was... interesting this year. Okay, it sucked. The models walked way too fast so it was difficult to get good pictures and there were long spaces in between that made things seem so unprofessional. But it's okay because everyone's garments still looked fantastic. Our year is without a doubt one of the strongest I've seen. So here's the few good pictures I could get of mine!

People, come and see my garments, ja? )

Hurray! Did two new shoots. Was a lot of fun and good practice. I still need to find a way to loosen up a bit though, it's kind of hard without any props, just to move around and position myself. But I'll have plenty of time to practice when I get back.

more lovely here... )

Wooooow. This thing is so old. Haha, but I did promise to post the final product of my corsetry class and here it is... with me wearing it in the start of my modeling.

The front

and the back.

Yeah, I did a photo shoot for fun and had so much fun I went around looking for other photographers, and things have just kind of exploded! I have five shoots next week, lots of fun. Gah, and the fashion show is this Thursday, crazy... so much to do still!

And I finally got to eat today for the first time in practically a week thanks to getting my tonsils out. I really underestimated the post surgery pain there would be.

Next time I'll post picture of the school fashion show, I have three looks in it this time. Also will post pictures of New Zealand when I get theeeere!

And then I made a muslin corset.

Just the muslin corset from corset class. I like it so much I think I'll dye it and wear it. I'll post the final fabric one as well later.

Oh my, rereading some of the tripe I used to post. Embarassing. Oh well. I'll probably occasionally post stuff from school on here, or maybe from the fashion show. Or a random rant maybe? Who knows. I'll probably forget about it again actually... haha.

Yesterday was prom. It sucked. The hotel party was fun though. I called Aimee a prostitute in the hotel parking lot and a lady walking by almost fell over laughing.

Liz, Carrie and I stole the 'keep your eyes on jesus' sign because we are horrible sinning whores. And we were bored.

I'm getting the tattoo I drew done on my back at last. I'm so excited. I will be so proud to have some of my art on my body.

I'm going to attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Seems like an awesome school... though they suck ass at mailing things on time. Chicago is the best city in the whole world. I'm happy to move there.

School is over in... three weeks I believe. Not counting finals days. I'm glad... high school seems like some very boring, dull torture. It's the same thing day in and day out. I'm ready for something new.

Haha... that's it for now.

So I turned 18 two days ago.

Crazy how time passes.

I never really update my journal anymore, cause I've sort of migrated to myspace and xanga. I don't really update in those either. I'm such a procrastinator.
I'll probably move to Chicago in like.. six months, to hopefully go to the Illinois Institute of Art. I'll find out in a week if I will...

I really want to volunteer for Planned Parenthood in what ever city I end up living in. And starting a VOX group if my school doesn't have one.

I'm bumming that I can't take my German studies further right now. I'll still study it, off campus, in college. Probably by joining some sort of German club or finding a student at some other school to tutor me.

Everyone I know is growing up, however haphazardly, to quote the Lovely Bones.

I'll see you kids later.

Finally got back from camp. It was lots of fun and maybe I'll make a post with lots of pictures soon... I'm much better at German now which is cool. I want to go to Bad Waldsee next year in germany... or maybe just europe in general. School started today... I have two opens-ish... i'm also really bad because today was the first day of school and I already skipped a class... >_<. Oh well... my schedule is as follows...

English 4 - Crowell
German 4 - Dunn
Government - Perry (Yess!!! debate central!)
open (was jazz but i am dropping that)
open (was ballet but they moved the class to fridays)
Fiber/Jewlery making - Copeland
Intermediate Algebra - Wyrick
2 Dimensional Design - Gomez

I'm mad that I can't get into fashion illustration but oh well...

I got my application for the Uni of Chicago today and I'm filling part of it out right now. I'm applying for early addmission so I'll know if I made it in January. That's really scary actually... I'm already a senior in high school and this time next year i'll (hopefully) be living in chicago... getting used to the new uni... oh man.. hard to comprehend. WEll i must go and finish this application. ta ta for now.

Your Inner European is Irish!

Sprited and boisterous!

You drink everyone under the table.

Ironic, considering I am German. They got the drinking part down though.

WEll, I haven't updated in years. I've been either too busy or apathetic. But oh well... This summer has been interesting. A hell of a lot more thrilling than last summer. Meeting new people and making random friends is nice, it's great to be away from the drama of high school. But it'll still be fun to go back to Lubbock High (for my last year! I can't get over that!)and see if anyone's changed. Hopefully senior year will be fun, I've got a lot of cool electives in my opinion, though I can't be in fashion design again due to my scheduling. I'm looking forward to going to Minnesota and making new friends. I've changed so much since junior high, I'm way less shy and so much more open to people. I'm also more ambitious and sure of my ideas. I love debating and politics. Though it sucks a bit to be so liberal and live in good old conservative Texas. It'll be fun to finally move away from here and live in the big city. I'm so excited about that. Chicago is my dream city. But I'm rambling... Hopefully I will actually update more often from now on... But I doubt it.

Well... whatta ya know.

Man. I haven't updated in a looong time. I've just been busy with school and work(ish) and other boring stuff. On the plus side I got a laptop for Christmas. Woo.

Chicago was lots of fun though, as it always is. I can't wait to move there... I was looking at DePaul. It's a good University and offers what I want plus it's right in the middle of downtown. And there's Loyola... even though it's a catholic college. Bah... there are too many to choose from...

I've been getting into more political bickers with family lately... I think I'm adopted. It is the only explanation for my conservative family. I always excuse myself at family gatherings if someone brings up abortion or gay marriage. BLAH.

Anywho. On the upside I AM, without a doubt, going to German Camp in the summer. I'm excited about going to Minnesota.. it'll be pretty hopefully, albeit cold. Oh well, it'll be a good experience. And on the plus side I leave right after the new Harry Potter book comes out (Which I am majorly excited about) so I can keep myself occupied on the plane.

I'm going to go read 1984 now.

Ta.

I haven't updated in a long time....
well two weeks...
school is already going by fast...
though I have a lot more homework than I did last year. I forgot to bring home my APUSH book this weekend so I'm gonna have to turn in my Chapter 4 quiz in a day late unless I get it done before school which I doubt I will do.
damn.
other than that life is normal as a soup can.

Evanescence=fucking AWESOME!!!

Wow... talk about fun... even though I felt rather disgusting afterwards and smelled like beer cause someone spilt their glass on me, it was totally worth it.

We spent most of the time down in the mosh crowd which was really fun... especially when a random mosh pit would break out (it was always RIGHT next to us of course). We (Aimee, Erin and me) ALL went crowd surfing... it was SUCH a weird feeling but it was so fun!!!!! I didn't get flipped, and got groped, but it was still kick ass...

Amy Lee totally rocked all night. And it was really cool because the audience was so into it so we were constantly screaming and jumping up and down and letting loose. Evanescene even came out and played an encore song.. and a random Willy Wonka song...

All in all... I can't wait to go to another concert.
